KINK3D On the Road: Darklands 2026

Beyond Darklands was an adventure. Then again, Darklands is always an adventure! It’s seriously hard to describe what it’s like if you haven’t been.

For our readers who don’t know, Darklands is one of the premier annual fetish events in Europe. It’s held in Belgium in what used to be a port warehouse and weighing station, right next to a river.

Unlike any other event we visit, Darklands is a festival with equal parts kink and fetish, a dash of circuit party energy, some gay bar hijinks (think karaoke and drag queens), and some truly “see it to believe it” performances. Fisting bingo anyone?

During the day, there’s a vendor market and kinky fair, where people of all ages who are into leather and rubber, plus pups, littles, chastity enthusiasts, gearheads and more, come together to connect. The day fair includes live shows and performances, a fetish gear market, socials and community gatherings, master classes, dark rooms, and competitions. You’ll run into some of your favorite OnlyFans models from around the world, and even some Drag Race queens.

In the evenings, there are massive parties, drawing the day crowd plus a whole new contingent from the circuit party world. All in all, the production value is huge and the organizers do a fantastic job bringing their vision to life.

This is the third year KINK3D has attended Darklands, and it didn’t disappoint. Something new for us this year was that we hosted Darklands' first official chastity social. It was amazing seeing so many people who lock up, or who lock up others, getting to meet, show off, and share. We’re always blown away by the ever-growing chastity community and are so proud of our part in it.

As in the past, we partnered with the Mr. S Leather booth to bring our sizing and vending experience to Darklands. Mr. S is a legendary institution and always creates a truly magical space that seems to defy logic as a temporary venue. It’s even more impressive when you realize they do this 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) away from their home in California. We love the Mr. S crew and always have a great time working with them.

Now, here’s where we get to the fun part — truly one of the best parts of my job —  getting to size people for chastity. I can’t tell you how many times people have walked past our booth or come in and tried on our product and told me (sometimes a bit jealously) that I have the best job in the world. They’re not wrong.

People walk up, usually unsure how sizing works, and I smile and tell them to pull down their pants. Then we put them in a cage. The process has been honed through years of experience. We guide people in trying sizes on until we find the best fit for that person. And each person is different: bodies are different, needs are different, preferences are different. Our goal is always to find the best fit so they can lock up comfortably.

For Darklands in particular, we know we’re going to see a lot more uncircumcised people than at events we attend in the US. We've learned a lot about the nuances of sizing for people with foreskin: It’s substantially the same (snug-but-not-tight fit, balancing comfort with security), but it does have a few complications to consider, like having enough room to avoid edema, and whether or not to give some extra length for the foreskin at the tip. Keep an eye out for future posts about sizing where we'll go into more depth about issues specifically for people with foreskin.

In addition to uncut guys, Europeans come in some impressive sizes. We always see the full range of sizes and shapes at each event, but something must be in the water over in Europe, as we've come to reliably expect so many big and girthy cocks. I am not complaining: being able to lock up a big cock is a particular challenge that is always gratifying! Especially since people who are well hung often haven’t been able to lock up before, as no other chastity products on the market have been a good fit for them. Most of the time, we have something that's up to the challenge.

We’ve really tried hard to have a full range of sizes that offer most people the chance to lock up. For chastity products that came before us, it was typical for there to be maybe 3 cages and 4-5 ring options. In contrast, each of our cage lines has 20 cages in 8 lengths, and we offer 24 rings in 3 styles. That alone is a lot — but if you start thinking about the combinatorics, the math gets crazy.

Speaking of, I love that we now have the Viper cage available, in addition to our original Cobra. Viper is a great all-around cage and aesthetically an eye-catching addition to the KINK3D lineup. But it also has very helpful functionality for people who are girthy and/or uncut. The more enclosed design with straighter sides can really take comfort to the next level. The enclosed cage helps keep foreskin from pressing through the side windows, a not uncommon issue for people who are uncut. The straighter sides also make it easier for girthy people to put the device on and allow foreskin to move more freely in the cage.

If you have the chance to attend Darklands in the future, I’d say it’s worth it at least once. It’s a unique event in a beautiful city. Antwerp is old-school Europe that is picturesque and quaint, especially for Americans who may not be used to the timeless feel of cities in Europe. There are houses in Antwerp that are older than our country. If you go, take a bit of time to explore. The old town is charming, with cobblestone streets, outdoor cafes, and a truly impressive cathedral.

It’s always a thrill to be in Europe and experience the fetish and chastity scenes there firsthand. Alongside me at Darklands was Chris, our head of marketing, who lives full-time in the Netherlands.
